2 General Description S-Fifteen Instruments Quantum Key Distribution v0.2+ uses polarization Entangled Photon Pair Source (housed in a 2U rack) centered at the telecoms O band. Two 3U photon receiver in the two remotely secure locations (up to 20 km away or 8dB) perform measurements on the pairs of photons via the BBM92 protocol to generate raw keys up. Additional error estimation, error correction and privacy amplification is then applied to obtain a theoretically information secure secret up to a defined security parameter. All identified vulnerabilities related to the detector is mitigated, especially the detector blinding attack. This is done through a detector self-testing method1 . The system can deliver keys via the ETSI 014 Rest API specification. The QKDv0.2+ is available as a two node or three node system. The two node system comes with an Entangled pair source unit with 2 output ports and 2 photon receiver units. The three node system has an internal photon routing switch in the pair source that has 3 output ports. It also comes with 3 photon receiver units.
