The AJS254-0.5H-NL-6 is a pack of Six Ultra-fine Adjustment Screws (AJS254-0.5H-NL) with precision cut threads for exceptionally smooth adjustment and much higher sensitivity than standard micrometers. The ultra-fine pitch, hex-head adjustment, AJS254-0.5H-NL screw offers 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) of precision travel. This ultra-fine adjustment is ideal for use with Newport optical mounts, stages, and most micrometer-compatible components. With much better than sub-micron sensitivity (280 nm), they are a cost-effective alternative to micrometers where position readout is not required. High-precision 254-TPI, cut stainless steel threads are mated with the collet and a proprietary lubricant. This lubricant reduces the elastic effect thus allowing exceptionally accurate movement. The standard 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) diameter collet is threaded with a nut for mounting to optical mounts and stages. KD.37 and KD.75 stainless steel knobs are available as an accessory.
