This general purpose SELFOC® radial gradient index oxide glass, plano-plano lens has a 1.8 mm diameter, a 4.42 mm length, a 0.46 NA, and is antireflection coated to provide maximum transmission at 830 nm. Gradient index micro lenses have a radially varying index of refraction that causes an optical ray to follow a sinusoidal propagation path through the lens. They combine refraction at the end surfaces along with continuous refraction within the lens.
