The F-MBB-C Bend-insensitive, pure silica, cabled, step index. multimode Sensor Grade Fiber features a core diameter of 200 μm. A hard clad silica 230 μm cladding enhances the fibers’ strength and fatigue resistance. A 900 μm outer jacket, surrounded by an Aramid yarn layer and a 3 mm diameter polyurethane cable jacket, provide additional strength and environmental protection. A high NA of 0.37 allows greater coupling efficiencies, while making these fibers optimal for applications requiring tight bending or coiling of fibers.
It's typical 500-1100 nm applications include medical, industrial and avionic sensors and instruments. The operating temperature of the F-MBB-C is -40°C to +80°C.
