The SOLA-SM-II light engine has proven its value in the life science marketplace: it’s the best performing white light illuminator and the only sensible alternative to a dated lamp system containing mercury. Expect on the order of 2.5 Watts of visible light pumped through the light guide, giving ample intensity for even the most demanding microscope applications. SOLA-SM-II light engine requires no replaceable parts (no bulbs), demands very low power, and has a working lifetime that far exceeds that of any lamp. All light engines are mercury free and RoHS compliant with a rated intensity of 30-40 W/cm2.
