LBO is an attractive nonlinear optical (NLO) crystal which widely used for harmonic generation of high-intensity laser radiation.

Main Features:

  • Wide transparency range (160 nm~2600 nm)

  • Broad wavelength range of Type I and Type II NCPM

  • Relatively large effective SHG coefficient (about three times larger than that of KDP)

  • High damage threshold (18.9 GW/cm2, 1.3ns @1054nm)

  • Wide acceptance angle and small walk-off angle

  • High optical quality (homogeneity Δn~10-6/cm)

  • Free of inclusion

Main Applications:

  • SHG, THG of Nd lasers

  • SHG of Ti:Sapphire, Cr:LiSAF and Alexandrite lasers

  • OPA and OPO
