National Instruments is partnering with Honeywell to offer a wide range of bridge-based load cells, pressure transducers, and torque sensors. NI has tested each of these sensors and verified them for use with the NI PXIe-4330, NI PXIe-4331, NI 9219, and NI 9237 devices. Each sensor is Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) enabled for ease of use. There are two different types of cable assemblies available; for RJ50 and Pigtail connectivity, NI offers 3ft. cables (783264-01 and 783267-01), 15ft. cables (783265-01 and 783268-01) and 25 ft. cables (783266-01 and 783269-01).

The Honeywell Model 2102 small flanged reaction torque sensor is designed for installation between test pieces such as motors, switches, axles, or shafts and their mounting plates. These models operate and are calibrated in both directions. The nickel-plated alloy steel construction enhances durability in harsh, industrial environments. These models have no moving parts and use four bonded strain gages on a special machined portion of the transducer to achieve a maximum nonlinearity of 0.1 percent over a wide dynamic range. Typical applications include tire braking, motor dynamometers, friction-skid testing, and twist measurement. You can use 50 in-lb to 1000 in-lb capacities (200 in-lb and 1,000 in-lb capacities available through NI).
