Optical post collars provide an index point for a specific post height, allowing an optical post to be removed from an optical post holder and returned to the same height. They can also be used to rotate an optical post while keeping it\'s height constant. Newport\'s C-0.3 open-ring post collar for miniature optical posts allows it to be added without having to remove the post from the post holder.
