Wide selection of accessories
Our 1 inch diameter optical pedestals enable ultra-stable mounting of optical mounts at low beam heights. Optical pedestals can be used alone for stable fixed height mounting or add an extension post and/or spacers to create a post of any height to 0.125 in. (3.18 mm). Slotted pedestal base clamping forks like our PS-F secure optical pedestals anywhere on an optical table. These 1 in. (25.4 mm) diameter, precision ground stainless steel optical pedestals maintain long-term optical system alignment. They are available in 0.5, 1, 2, 3, and 4 in. (12.7, 25.4, 50.8, 76.2, and 101.6 mm) heights. Each optical pedestal is marked with an index groove every 1 in. (25.4 mm) for a quick height reference. Cross-drilled holes allow 3/16 in. (5 mm) hex wrenches to aid in tightening and loosening assembled posts. The stainless steel clamping forks provide positioning flexibility and secure mounting for pedestal posts.
An 8-32 (M4) threaded hole on each end allows pedestal posts and post extenders to be attached together end-to-end using a setscrew. In-between heights can be achieved by combining an optical pedestals with pedestal spacers, available in 0.125 and 0.25 in. (3.18 and 6.35 mm) heights. For direct mounting to a threaded hole on an optical table, use a 1/4-20 to 8-32 (M6 to M4) Thread Adaptors.
The PS-B-0.5 and PS-B-1 Pedestal Bases are useful for clamping VPH or VPT Series Post Holders or SP Series Posts anywhere on an optical table using a clamping fork. They have a clearance hole in the bottom for a 1/4-20 (M6) screw. Pedestal Bases can also be used for turning TPS Series Posts into pedestals.
SS-1-B converts any 1/4-20 (M6) hole into an 8-32 (M4) mounting surface, adding 0.25 in. (6.35 mm) height. It is ideal for mounting components close to the table surface.
The PS-SC Sliding Clamp secures an optical mount at any position and angle along the length of the post. The combination of the Pedestal System\'s components allows not only stable mounting of optical mounts, but also building of complete component structures.
An extension of the Pedestal Post system, the PS-Q Pedestal Cube is designed to allow mounting of PS Series Pedestal and Extension Posts at a 90-degree angle enabling the construction of ultra-stable multi-dimensional structures. What makes the Pedestal Cube system unique is its ability to allow alignable stacking of cubes on to posts. This is accomplished by using the PS-Q-A thread adapter which fits into either of the two counterbores on the cube. The thread adapter allows the cube to be rotated to the same orientation as any of the cubes below it while also providing a threaded hole on top of the cube for further stacking of posts or other cubes. With this feature, unlike other cubes, the Pedestal Cube can be infinitely stacked while maintaining a common alignment.
Extension posts and spacers can be combined with pedestal posts to match any optical axis height.

Pedestal Bases have a 1/4-20 (M6) clearance hole for mounting classic Post Holders and TPS Series Posts.PS-B-0.5 shown on left, PS-B-1 shown on right.
PS-1Z ( M-PS-1Z ) Magnetic Pedestal Posts
SS-1-B ( M-SS-1-B ) stainless steel thread adaptors convert a 1/4-20 (M6) hole into an 8-32 (M4) hole.
Pedestal posts allow for a low beam height, maintaining high stability and long-term alignment.
Pedestal Bases allow classic Post Holders and SP Series Posts to be clamped anywhere on a table.
A beam steerer can be built by attaching an extension post to a pedestal post and adding sliding clamps with mirror mounts.
PS-45 Series Pedestal Adaptors
Use SS-1-B ( M-SS-1-B ) for mounting components close to a table surface.
