The NI 9503 is a C Series stepper motor drive module for the CompactRIO platform. It adds stepper motion to a CompactRIO system without the need for an external power drive. 

The NI 9503 can drive one axis of motion per module, and multiple modules can be combined in a CompactRIO system to build a multiaxis motion controller/drive with flexible user-defined I/O. Matched stepper motors are available in NEMA 8 through 23 sizes and 2.4 to 269 oz-in. (0.017 to 1.90 N-m) of torque. 

The NI 9503 benefits electronics engineers designing consumer appliances, industrial control engineers designing small- to medium-sized machines, and automotive engineers working on rapid prototyping applications by providing seamless motion integration with a proven measurement and control platform. With more than 100 NI and third-party C Series I/O modules to choose from, you can use the CompactRIO platform to integrate multiple measurement types, machine vision, and motion in one system powered by LabVIEW graphical system design software.
