These cuvettes are made from UV grade fused silica or optical grade glass; the fused silica models transmit down to 200 nm. All four windows and the base are polished. Each cuvette is supplied with a Teflon® cover. The 13955 has a sealed Teflon cover to prevent spills. We offer 3 and 10 mm path length cells, for different applications:

3 x 3 cells are good for fluorescence studies
10 x 10 cells are used for fluorescence, scattering and absorbance measurements

The 10 x 10 and 1 x 1 mm cuvettes, and the 3 x 3 model with appropriate adapter ( 13970 ) fit inside all standard sample compartments, and the following Oriel products:



Shielded Cell Holder for Optical Bench Work

The 13950 Shielded Cuvette Holder holds standard 10 x 10 mm cuvettes atop an optical rod. It has an 8 mm wide by 29 mm high rectangular aperture on all four sides. When viewing or detecting fluorescence or other signal through the sides of the cell, the apertures minimize reflected or scattered light from the cell input and output faces. The 13950 has a threaded 1/4-20 hole at the base for rod mount or other suitable mounting methods.
