Complete PC Based Laser Power Measurement
4 Channels for Measurement and Display
Full Statistical and Power Trend Analysis
The LaserPAD™ PC unit is a full-function Windows® based multi-channel power measurement application package that provides complete data logging, statistical, and trending analysis. Features include: Power displayed in Watts, dB, or dBm; Programmable attenuation factors from 100,000:1, to 0.01:1; Measurement wavelength selection; Selectable averaging of 1 to 200 readings for noisy sources; Offset selection for subtraction of background noise; Unlimited data storage to spreadsheet files; Selectable measurement limits and alarms; and Multi-channel math functions such as ratios and differences.
The LaserPAD™ interface module communicates with the LaserPAD™ software via your PC’s USB or RS-232 serial interfaces, and provides fully calibrated power readings from its detection heads for analysis and display. Rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries are included for 12 hours of continuous portable operation when not powered through the USB interface. The LaserPAD™ unit includes the interface module, software, and an instruction manual. The unit does not include a PC or detection head. Choose from the detection heads listed below.
LaserPAD™ Detection Heads
UV, Visible, NIR, and Broadband Heads Available
NIST Traceable Calibration, ISO and CE Compliant
LaserPAD™detection heads store calibration, wavelength, and linearity data in a memory chip, allowing for quick plug-in setup with the LaserPAD™ interface module. The UV, Visible, and NIR detection heads are semiconductor sensors and should be used when high-resolution readings are required from a low power laser source. Calibrated accuracies of ±8% are achievable because the semiconductor materials’ sensitivity varies greatly with wavelength. The broadband heads are thermal sensors and are ideal for medium power laser sources. These sensors have intrinsically flat spectral absorption from the UV to the far infrared, yielding calibrated accuracies of ±2%. When using broadband detection heads, the LaserPAD™ software displays absolute or relative beam alignment and position stability information for each channel simultaneously. Each sensor includes a stand, 6ft. cable, and NIST traceable certificate.
