This extremely compact design includes automatic power control circuits and focusable optics. The rugged body is low voltage isolated from the drive electronics, removing the need for negative or floating supplies. It has a highly visible red laser output that can be seen in most daylight conditions. Additional features include aspheric lens, elliptical beam, small output beam diameter, and focused spot size. 655nm version offers a less bright beam but has lower cost, greater temperature range, and longer lifetime. Meet IEC60825 certification, in accordance with CDRH. Applications include: alignment/positioning, bar code readers, dimensional scanning, metrology, event detection, robot control, target designation, edge detection, analysis, and security.
