Ion Beam Sputtered Thin Film Plate Polarizers operating at 56° balance high performance with ease of use. These polarizers are coated using durable ion beam sputtering on UV-grade fused silica, resulting in ultrahigh transmission of p-polarized light and high laser damage threshold. The proprietary IBS coating used eliminates the need for angle tuning and allows use over a wide acceptance angle, while operation at the Brewster angle enhances extinction ratio. Impact to beam quality is minimal, with low transmitted wavefront error, low wedge, and high surface quality.
