Convenient, high power 90° separation of s- and p-polarization at Nd:YAG wavelengths; no angle tuning required. These high performance polarizing cube beamsplitters offer ultrahigh transmission of p-polarized light with 1000:1 extinction ratio at 45° AOI using IBS coatings; no angle tuning required. They are available from stock for high power use at 532 and 1064 nm. Other wavelengths available upon request.

Ion Beam Sputtered Thin Film Plate Polarizers operating at 45° offer convenience in alignment combined with high performance.  These polarizers use durable ion beam sputtered coatings and low-loss antireflection coatings on UV-grade fused silica to achieve high transmission of p-polarized light and good extinction ratio in conjunction with high laser damage threshold.  Like a cube polarizer, the reflected and transmitted beams are separated by 90° and orthogonally polarized, making them a compact alternative for polarization splitting or beam combining.  The proprietary IBS coating used eliminates the need for angle tuning and allows use over a wide acceptance angle, while operation at the Brewster angle enhances extinction ratio.  Input beam quality is preserved due to low transmitted wavefront error, low wedge, and high surface quality.  Applications include use as polarizers in fiber and Nd:YAG laser systems, as intracavity Q-switch hold-off polarizers, and in combination with a waveplate to create high damage threshold variable attenuators and passive optical isolators.
• High laser damage threshold (10 J/cm2 @ 1064 nm)
• High extinction ratio (> 750:1 for 532 nm, > 1000:1 for 1064 nm)
• Reflected and transmitted beams separated by 90°, no angle tuning required
• Larger clear aperture than Brewster plate polarizers of same size
• Nd:YAG wavelengths standard, other wavelengths, sizes, and angles of incidence custom
