Low power, high reflectivity broadband metal mirror enhanced for visible; 450 – 650 nm. These aluminum mirrors are enhanced with a high quality multilayer dielectric coating to both protect the aluminum coating and increase reflectivity at mid-visible wavelengths. Peak reflectance in the visible is > 93%, while average reflectivity is > 95%. They are as durable and reliable as protected aluminum mirrors.


Enhanced aluminum flat mirrors utilize standard aluminum coating technology with a durable multilayer dielectric overcoat to achieve the durability of protected aluminum while increasing reflectivity throughout the visible spectrum.  The protective overcoat slows oxidation and increases abrasion resistance while enhancing reflectivity.  These mirrors offer > 92% average reflectivity from 450 – 650 nm, making them well-suited to applications that require the durability and reliability of protected aluminum, but with higher reflectivity in the mid-visible region.  All mirrors are coated on N-BK7 glass, and are precision-polished for low transmitted wavefront distortion, low wedge, and good surface quality.  Damage threshold is 0.4 J/cm2 pulsed at 532 nm, higher than our UV enhanced aluminum mirrors (PAUV), but still limits their use in pulsed laser applications.
