Low power, good reflectivity broadband metal mirror for visible and near-IR; 400 – 800 nm. With > 87% reflectivity from 400 - 800 nm and > 90% average reflectivity up to 10 μm, these protected aluminum mirrors are the best general-purpose metal mirror for external reflectors and basic light routing at visible and near-infrared wavelengths.

Protected aluminum flat mirrors are the best general-purpose metallic reflector for visible to near-infrared wavelengths.  They utilize standard aluminum coating technology with an additional overcoat to achieve > 87% average reflectivity at visible and near-infrared wavelengths.  A protective overcoat slows oxidation and increases abrasion resistance with minimal impact to optical properties.  All mirrors are coated on N-BK7 glass, and are precision-polished for low transmitted wavefront distortion, low wedge, and good surface quality.  Damage threshold is 0.3 J/cm2 pulsed at 532 nm, higher than our UV enhanced aluminum mirrors (PAUV), but still limits their use in pulsed laser applications.  It is often used as an external reflector in the visible and near-infrared.
