Low power, high reflectivity broadband metal mirror for visible and infrared; 400 nm – 20 μm. High reflectivity at visible wavelengths through long-wavelength infrared makes silver mirrors suitable for a wide range of applications. Silver offers > 95% reflectivity at visible and near-infrared wavelengths, superior to aluminum. Our silver coatings are protected and sealed with an overcoat to extend life.

Protected silver flat mirrors are extremely versatile due to their excellent performance in the visible to infrared wavelengths.  Our silver mirror can be cleaned and has excellent durability, offering > 95% average reflectivity at visible and infrared wavelengths.  Protected silver has higher reflectivity than aluminum at visible and near-IR wavelengths.  A proprietary overcoat and edge seal prevents oxidation and increases abrasion resistance with minimal impact to optical properties.  We recommend the drag and drop method with acetone for the cleaning of these mirrors.  All mirrors are coated on N-BK7 glass, and are precision-polished for low transmitted wavefront distortion, low wedge, and good surface quality.  Damage threshold is 0.9 J/cm2 pulsed at 532 nm, limiting their use in pulsed laser applications.  This mirror is well-suited for use with ultrafast Ti:Sapphire lasers, as it imparts minimal pulse distortion.
