BBS plate beamsplitters can be used at 45° AOI to split the power of a broadband laser beam, or to mix two broad bandwidth beams into one. Their wideband, low-loss performance is also well-suited to separating or combining beams of different wavelength in the same optical path. A broadband antireflection coating on the back surface helps to minimize secondary reflections and ghost images.
