l         A  smooth, virtually vibration-free motorized micrometer head;  motor-driven micrometer head is configured by connecting a compact  high-performance D.C. motor and high-resolution gear head, then  connecting a compact high-performance D.C. motor and high-resolution  gear head, then connecting to a lead screw.

l         Allows fine (remote fine) control of experiments and measurements to be confirmed by the PC interface (GP-IB and RS232C).

l         Because  the encoder is not set at behind but in front of the motor, SOM-BE does  not count collectively backlash and lost motion of gear head.

l         Because micro photo sensor is installed in SOM-BE as limit/origin, it enable motion control with micro course.

l         Small backlash by using precision ground thread.

l         Has dimensions equal to the manual micrometer head connector.

l         Optimal heat suppression and very few libration.
